Patrizia
Patrizia’s approach is organic and intuitive, beginning with a draught of delicate penicil marks that are later subsumed over by a thick, visceral oil pastels, developing figurative, geographic and architectural details, until they seem to be neither one thing or another but exist on their own terms. Eyes are a recurring motif: peering out from buildings, rock formations, water; whether sinister or benevolent is left to the viewer to decide.
